The charming ladies from Tieranniesaur have taken time out of their busy schedules to share some helpful tips with you on the manufacture of percussion instruments in the comfort of your own homes. While I’m quite sure they’d happily do this any day of the week, there is also a very practical purpose to their homage to the legendary Mary Fitzgerald.
They are offering a discount on the door, at their upcoming Whelan’s date in Dublin, to fans who arrive with their own homemade percussion. Speculation is rife as to their true motivation but our own suspicions centre on mass audience participation at the gig (picture it while reading this review of their recent jaunt to Cork, when they brought the entire Popical Island confraternity with them). So, get out those lentils from the back of the press, stick some rice in a wine bottle, hell a pair of spoons might even do. (Yes, I think spoons it is as accompaniment for this track.)
Now say hello to Annie and friends…
Tieranniesaur play Whelan’s, Dublin on March 9th, with Last Days of 1984 and Grand Pocket Orchestra.
