Limerick label Out On A Limb (Ten Past Seven, Rest, Crayonsmith) got onto us this morning with a nice bit of news, Cork heads ELK have been snapped up to their roster with a release upcoming. Press release here: We’re delighted to announce that Cork trio Elk have signed to Limerick
independent label Out On A Limb Records.
We’ve been fans of Elk for a few years now, catching them live in Cork a few times and being charmed by their debut album We Should Start Our Own Gang in 2009(they were a four-piece then!). More recently, they contributed the track ‘Wet Stars’ to a split 7″ with Crayonsmith
released on Out On A Limb in November 2011. We really enjoyed with them on the release and subsequent tour.
The band are currently working on their second album and will be recording it later this year, with a release in late 2012/early 2013
on vinyl and download.
