Brian Cash from Halves gives us a High 5
1. Roky Erickson – ‘Devotional #1′
There is an amazing documentary about Roky Erickson’s life, once you watch it then this song just breaks your heart, love how lo-fi it is.
2. The Cure – ‘Friday I’m In Love’
I first heard it when I was 8 and it never ceased to give me shivers. I miss good pop songs.
3. Colleen – ‘Everyone Alive Wants Answers’
This song has the most amazing textures and just sets the mind running…It’s like getting stoned on a sunny day- at least I can imagine it’s like that, don’t know much about those drug things.
4. Clouddead ‘Apt. A (2)’
Clouddead are just one of those bands where I can’t figure out how the hell they even begin to think of their sound, very inspiring stuff. Fingers crossed for a reunion.
5. The Flamingos ‘I only have eyes for you’
I’m pretty sure every single person in the world loves this song, if they don’t they probably own a Keane album.
