David Kitt returns to Cork for the first time in a while (May 2010, possibly? – Ed.), with new partner Diamond Dagger, for the first Cork appearance of New Jackson.
Kittser has an impressive range of output in his back pocket, dating from his original incarnation under his own name in 2000, playing hushed guitar indie with electronic beats, with his debut album Small moments.
Since then he’s flirted with Rough Trade, Universal and even toured as a member of Tindersticks, as well as teaming up with his brother Robbie as Spilly Walker.
For this gig, expect “downtempo deep house with electro basslines”, as on last year’s Night Mail EP on the Pogo label.
Sounds like it’s just the stuff for The Crucial Party.
