The Empire Lights debut single “Momentum” will be released on Friday 20th April and will be available on all major digital download sites. There will be a limited physical run of the single available in selected record stores. The launch will be backed by an Irish tour and promotional music video.

The tour in April includes dates in Cyprus Ave, Cork (20th), Monroe’s, Galway (21st) The Academy 2, Dublin (22nd) and more dates around the country to be announced.

The single “Momentum” has been described by many as “the kind of song you’d hear on an O2 ad”. “I could tell when I first heard momentum that it’s going to be a hit, Great Song.” Said Niall Stokes of Hot Press. An early demo of the song gained interest from Failte Ireland and was used in the RTE show “The Importance of Being Whatever”. A high quality single version was recorded at Grouse Lodge studios for the debut release.

The promotional music video was produced by Zombie Multimedia, an upcoming media production company who’s amazing skills and eagerness will see them rise to the top in music video production. The video will be on Youtube from Saturday 31st March.

The Empire Lights formed in 2011 and built their own rehearsal/recording studio from the ground up. The band have consistently come out in the top 10 acts from events such as “Arthurs Day Play on the Day”, “IMRO Best of Showcase Tour” and “Hot Press Lift Off Competition”.
