The programme for this year’s Cork Midsummer Festival has just been announced. You can read all about it here.
http://www.corkmidsummer.com/programme/
We’ll have plenty more about the various elements of the programme over the coming weeks but we thought we’d give you a quick heads up about one particularly special event happening in Triskel Christchurch on June 29 & 30.
It’s titled Bowerbird: Modern Folk and Beyond and has been curated by Adrian Crowley (pictured) and Gary Sheehan. The line-up is a mouthwatering collection of folk artists from a variety of backgrounds. This is it in full.
Friday 29 June: Andy Irvine / Sam Amidon / Adrian Crowley / Serafina Steer
Saturday 30 June: Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells / Martin Carthy / Malcolm Middleton presents Human Don’t Be Angry / Serafina Steer
We’ll leave you to digest that now for a little while – have some of this in anticiaption.
