Exciting news for all you folk who live in the wonderful West Cork. John Haggis ensemble Band of Clouds will play their only warm up show before Electric Picnic in the homely setting of Debarra Folk Club in Clonakilty tonight.
Haggis released his L.P. Outside Broadcast in March of this year and the long list of featured musicians on the album include Katie Kim, Deaf Joe, and Arcade Ray. Produced and arranged in Waterford, the influx of musicians who “floated” in and out of the Granny it’s OK studio inspired the name Band of Clouds. Here, you can see one of the individual digital artworks that were created for each track on the album and from it you get the impression of what the other artworks will bring and even the music itself. Serene, beautifully composed and mesmorising.
Go to this gig, because I cannot and it will be one amazing gem of a gig, in an amazing gem of a venue.
