The Daniel Martin Moore & Joan Shelley Cork gig on next Weds 5th Sept has been moved from the Half Moon Theatre to Gulpd Café in Triskel Arts Centre.

The gig is now just €7, start time 9.30 pm sharp, and John Blek (solo) and Saved By Dreams (new O Emperor sideproject, bass player Richie Walsh playing lush Laurel Canyon-esque folk) will still be supporting the duo. With just a 40/45 seat capacity it should be quite an intimate and special show.

**We have a copy of Farthest Field, the current duo album from Daniel Martin Moore & Joan Shelley, to give away. All you have to do is send us an e-mail to this address –

Stick DMM/JS in the subject line and you’re in with a shot. We’ll pick a winner before the gig at Gulpd next Wednesday.

Here’s what they’re saying about the album.

Farthest Field – the new duet project from Daniel Martin Moore and Joan Shelley –was recorded in December 2011 and February 2012 in Louisville, Kentucky. The ten original compositions on Farthest Field display the two Kentucky-based musicians at their singing, songwriting best. The landscapes of their words are united with
crystalline, nearly fragile, vocals and minimal, but engaging, accompaniment. This gentle, acoustic music exhibits a mature and calm transparency that perfectly matches these poetic lyrics about leaving and coming home.
