As promised a while back, the title track from the current Slow Place Like Home EP, ‘There go the lights again’, now has a film accompaniment.

This comes courtesy of Jules Hackett and features a multitude of lighted silhouettes promenading through the abandoned streets of Dublin at night, ending with a dip in the sea at Dollymount Beach.

In tandem with the meaty backbeat and eerie atmospherics of the tune, the whole effect comes on like a cross between an episode of The Saint and a Reclaim the Night march. Intriguing, would be a word.

The Vimeo page also helpfully contains the song’s lyrics, with one of the best literary sign offs we’ve seen in some time.

sing it, love it, break them but don’t throw it
feel it, prelude, alors, la fin!
