Our favourite soundtrackers of imaginary cult horror movies, Horsemen Pass By, were in touch the other day with news of a rare live performance.

Just wanted to let you know that we are playing next Friday Sept 14th in Gulpd with Carried by Waves. It is the first gig since the release of Giallo so it will be kind of a launch party.

Giallo was the band’s debut EP, released earlier this year, a notable and singular peice of work. You can find it reviewed in these pages here and here. Here’s how the band describe the event themselves.

Live original soundtracks for chopped up cult films.
Reverb-sprung guitars and synths set to Sci-fi, Horror and Found Footage visuals – for fans of Morricone, Goblin and trash cinema.
Support on the night comes from Carried by Waves, whose music has been described as “sublime, beautifully crafted, euphoric, lush, astral, textured and engrossing”. A collage of layered & ethereal vocals, guitars & synths, fused with complex drum rhythms and hypnotic bass loops.

Hear that…Morricone. Sounds great, says you. Sign up here.

But wait, there’s more.

We are playing as well in the City Council Atrium for Culture Night with Carried by Waves and Fear Stalks the Land on Sept 21st.
