Niamh from Hunk passes on a few of the band’s favourite things ahead of a visit to Cork this weekend…
1. Devo – Girl U Want
Incredible party tune and something we would love to cover and include in our set. However, we’re not quite there yet in terms of doing it justice. All hail Devo! (Yeah! – Ed.)
2. Harlem – Tila and I
Awesome garage rock from the States and Sundara’s choice! We love this tune and it’s been on repeat on Sundara’s iPod since she’s discovered it.
3. The Bad Plus – Never Stop
Something for the drummers out there, this is Ger’s choice and what an epic choice it is. Ger’s the classy one in the group haha.
4. Bikini Kill – Rebel Girl
One of the first songs we learned together and it’s a huge influence on us. Kathleen Hanna is a legend.
5. The Dillinger Escape Plan: Black Bubblegum (Live on Conan O’Brien)
My choice, Liam Wilson is one of the best bassists around and I’ve been lucky enough to get a few lessons off him recently over Skype.
